For millennia we have fought scarcity.Now we must overcome abundance.There's too much of everything jamming up our screens and our senses.Junk sources appeal to our most self-destructive habits.They create dangerous mirages, and we can die in the desert chasing a mirage.All thoughts and ideas—from our private beliefs to our public expressions—flow downstream from the polluted pools we drink at.Clear sources are sacred: they provide us with truth, or beauty, or meaning.Our books, art, screens, movies, podcasts, news, shows, music, people and places.We can set up filters in our daily lives, to receive more clarity and less noise pollution.Because when we drink from clear sources, our calm mind can make better choices.
